Men shopping for lingerie for their partner is often problematic, given that many men don't know their partners bra size (have a look in their lingerie drawer, not difficult!). They come into a lingerie shop and when asked what size are they looking for, they fall back on the old favourite of cupping both hands as though fondling a pair of imaginary breast and say 'shes about that size'. So come on get real, if you really want to buy her something special for Christmas in the way of lingerie, do your homework.

1. Check out what size bra and briefs she wears.
2. What style of bra does she normally go for - if you want her to buy something that she will actually wear on a regular basis, she will need to feel comfortable wearing it.
   • So does she normally wear a sheer bra or a padded bra?
   • Is it a plunge style, i.e. one that shows off her cleavage or does it cut across the top of her boobs, i.e. balconnette.
   • Does she stick to a particular colour or is she more adventurous?
   • Is it soft cup or underwired?
3. Briefs, what style does she normally wear. Does she wear a thong, boy shorts, briefs?
4. Finally, be realistic, are you buying it for her to wear on a regular basis or is it something you would like her to wear for you?

If in doubt, there is always nightwear to fall back on, but be warned some of the babydolls on the market are now cup sized, but in the main you will only need to know what dress size she is.
