So why is a lingerie buyer, now blogging about a clothing line? That is a question I'm still asking myself! Within the UK, the main trade shows for the Lingerie world have been the Lingerie and Swimwear Show held twice a year in Harrogate. Last year, however, that changed and the main lingerie and swimwear show, moved to MODA at the NEC in Birmingham, a show which includes shoes, accessories and yes all the latest fashion that will be on sale next season. Like many other lingerie shops we sell a large selection of swimwear, together with beachwear, wraps, kimono's, beach dresses etc. One of my daughters is marrying this summer and my wife, saw an outfit on one of the fashion stands that she loved and wanted to show me, as she thought it would be great for her to wear somthing similar at the wedding. So I paid this particular stand a visit and discovered 'Shircket' a range of clothing designed by Patsy Seddon who is the founder of Phase Eight.

Now apart from the outfit my wife wanted for herself, what I also saw was a summer range that would fit nicely with our swimwear and beachwear lines, providing the ideal holiday outfits.

The Shircket concept is a simple one tailored jackets that are lightweight enough to wear as a shirt with nothing underneath, together with the instant outfit of a vest type top with a blouse / cardigan all in one outfit. Beautiful clothes, that are at the same time practical.

Patsy Seddon, had long looked for a 'put it on and you are dressed' garment so decided to design and produce them herself.

The Shirckets can be worn for any social occasion from a casual supper to a visit to the opera by dressing them up to down with accessories and a choice of trousers and shoes.

So just to wet your appetite we have Charlie, the most relaxed, comfortable and really easy to wear Shircket.  In jersey with a burnout jersey cardigan that is attached at the sides so that the vest underneath doesn't ride up. Notice the rouching on the sleeves and neck which make it so elegant.

Next up is the Lawrence a relaxed cotton Shircket with notch neck, striped body and lower sleeve and a plain jersey attached at the side cardigan.  The cardigan has a waterfall front. Again selling for the great price of £79.
