“Do you do bra fittings?”
and
“Can you measure me?”
The answer is to the first question is a definite yes and to the second a most definite no.
Would you buy a pair of shoes without trying them on? The answer hopefully is no you wouldn't. So why should bras be any different. The “secret” to finding a bra you’ll love, is to try it on. We see a size as a place to start, but we don’t get too attached. Bodies are unique and shaped differently, and so are bras. Some cuts and styles will flatter your shape and some won’t. Some brands run big, some small, and we can help you find the right one for you. So, yes, we will fit you in a bra by helping you select the ones that work for you. We know a lot about the bras we carry and how they work on different bodies. Please don’t hesitate to ask for our assistance.
As for measuring, we aren’t going to wrap a tape around you and give you a magic number that will allow you to walk into any store and buy a bra without trying it on. It just doesn’t work that way. Just because a bra is your “size”, that doesn’t mean it’s going to fit you. And, don’t let anyone tell you that everyone is wearing the wrong size. We suspect they just want you to throw out all your bras so they can sell you new ones.
Oh, and speaking of that: bras don’t last forever. If you treat them nice and keep them out of washer and dryer, they will reward you with their love and support, but eventually they lose some of their snap, even when you handwash them and follow the manufacturers instructions. IWe get a lot of ladies coming in thinking their size has changed or they wonder why their favorite bra isn’t their favorite anymore, and they want to try a different size or style. We always say “Well, how long have you been wearing that bra?” Very often, you just need to replace it. Maybe YOU haven’t changed, but the bra has. To get the most out of your bra, fasten it on the loosest point, so that as it stretches and it will stretch over time, then you can fasten it on a tighter point.
