The Changing Face of WonderbraPosted on 3:48pm Thursday 11th Aug 2011 Listed under: Rick - The Lingerie Buyers Blog It's quite interesting when you look back over the years at how well known brands present themselves and how they change over time. Take Wonderbra for instance, a brand that in the past has been about push up and enhancement, yet has kept itself at the cutting edge of developments in the lingerie industry, taking risks with new designs, where others often play it safe. This has been not only with their designs, but also with their advertising. Wonderbra are an old established brand with the trademark registered in America in 1935 and the company based in Canada. It wasn't until the 1991 before the Wonderbra became a name to be reckoned with the United Kingdom with their trademark 'Push Up' Bra. This bra had 12.5 % of the UK market with the In 1994 the infamous 'Hello Boys' poster campaign with Eva Herzigova was launched, leading to the urban myth of car accidents caused by distracted drivers. A survey in 2008 of 3000 women in the UK the pushup wonderbra was voted the number one innovation in fashion history. Wonderbra have continued to be at the forefront of innovations, with last years launch of the Ultimate Strapless bra, with the claim ' Stays up as long as you do.' Each cup is fitted with a hand-shaped structure to support and lift your bust. So unlike normal underwire that sits underneath your boobs these polycarbonate hands are moulded into the cups. This gives you the support that you’re missing from the straps. The hands also act as if you’re holding yourself up and give a great Wonderbra cleavage. Everything you want from a strapless bra. Genius isn’t it? If you don't believe me have a look at the videos below.
