I read an article recently about what makes French women so stylish and look so effortlessly chic?
"French women always look so well put together without looking as though they have tried too hard," says Linda who runs L'Amica, a designer fashion boutique in Bournemouth.
"They look good without looking too stylised. You get the whole package: everything from their underwear to their make-up, hair and clothes. I don't think French women mind being individual in their style either."
Emma Van Lindholm of LMP Models Ltd in Bournemouth says it's what they wear under their clothes that counts.

"French women always like to wear nice, colour co-ordinated lingerie" she reveals. "Apparently they believe that if you feel good on the inside you will look good on the outside too which makes sense when you think about it doesn't it?"

So my question to all you women in the UK is "Do you feel good on the inside?" or are you going out for the night and starting your outfit with a greying bra, without matching briefs. I know from experience that the majority of our customers and those of other independent lingerie stores, favour co-ordinated sets, but many women can spend a small fortune on a special outfit and let the outfit down by not wearing lingerie that will not only make them feel good but help enhance the outfit they are wearing. So does your sense of style start with what you are wearing under your clothes, if not perhaps it's time for a visit to your local lingerie shop.

Lingerie is of course French from Rosy
